The 1st International Environmental Conference in Saudi Arabia

Mr. Haris Kamariotakis, General Director of D-Waste, was a key speaker in the 1st International Environmental Conference on waste management, which took place in Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 20th to 21st of November 2012.

He present "Mobile Governance and Waste Management" in IEC's dedicated session on Academic – Industrial Cooperation & Maximising Efficiency of Waste Utilisation (Session 6).

Waste is an increasing problem across the Kingdom and the RCJY have created this platform to tackle policy, legislation, monitoring and the control of waste across all industries. The conference, which is the first in Saudi Arabia to be accredited by the Institute of Wastes Management, allowed the participant to learn, exchange and implement change to ensure your organization is better equipped to sustainably deal with industrial waste.

This senior level forum is hosted by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and held under the patronage of the Chairman, HH Prince Saud Bin Thunayyan Al Saud. The conference provide a unique opportunity for business professionals, industry experts and government agency attendees to discuss and debate the latest developments, challenges and opportunities available in the development of environmentally sound waste management systems across Saudi Arabia.High level public and private sector delegates from a broad cross section of the industry join these three days of networking, learning and identifying future business opportunities.
