ISWAUNEP

The UNEP International Environmental Technology Centre (IETC) and ISWA jointly developed a paper on waste and climate change, in preparation of the unfccc cop18 conference in doha.

This paper highlights the results already achieved through waste management measures to mitigate greenhouse gases and the potential for further substantial reductions. A coordinated international approach is needed for sustainable solutions, e.g. the Global Partnership on Waste Management (GPWM) or the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC).
