D-Waste attended the1st Course on Urban Sustainability organized by IDB

The Emerging and Sustainable Cities Initiative (ESCI) of the Inter-American Development Bank, in partnership with Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) and the support of the City of Santander, introduced the first Course on Urban Sustainability: Models for Better Management and Planning, held in Santander, Spain from 28th of July  to 1st of August 2014.

Antonis Mavropoulos, CEO and Founder of D-Waste, participated in the discussion panel on the Environmental Sustainability regarding the models for solid waste, water and sanitation management.

More than 50 national and international experts along with a group of Spanish and Latin American mayors, shared their cities’ experiences in implementing sustainable solutions. The course was designed for professionals who were interested in urban development topics such as those who work for city government or local development institutions, universities, non-profit organizations, private sector and financial institutions related to city administration.
