White Paper on Mobile Applications Waste Management
white paperAfter 4 months of hard work and 21 reviewers' comments, D-Waste is happy to announce the publication of the White Paper on "Mobile Applications and Waste Management: Recycling, Personal Behavior, Logistics". We have to thank warmly all the reviewers that took part in the first review of the White Paper. Their help was substantial and their names are mentioned in the third page of the document.
The White Paper (you can download it from here) aims to open a broad dialogue regarding the applicability of mobile apps for a better waste management. Our main finding is that there is a huge room for the adoption of recycling habits that are facilitated through mobile apps. There is also a huge unexploited potential to improve the systemic behavior of waste management systems by using appropriate mobile apps".

Submit your Contribution

infographicWe invite everyone to contribute to this dialogue and we are sure that it will be fruitful and it will generate new ideas. You can submit your comments and contributions (ideas, papers, presentations, references) until 31st of March in two ways. Firstly through our LinkedIn or Facebook pages and secondly by direct emails to Mrs. Aida Anthouli (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and Mr. Marios Skarvelakis (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). As soon as the dialogue procedure will be closed, a final version of the document will be published, including all the names of the contributors.
With this White Paper we initiated the Collaborative Knowledge Projects.

The Collaborative Knowledge Projects will be implemented by the D-Waste Community (our personnel and the scientists that have submitted the join form). They will be written by a team of experts, reviewed by an open call to the Community and then launched for dialogue with everyone. The final version of the documents will include all the major contributions and the names of the contributors and it will be officially published (with the ISSN number) as a result of the dialogue procedure.
The relevant documents will be available for free, for everyone, because the main purpose of the Collaborative Knowledge Projects is to share know-how and ideas with everyone involved in waste management. Additionally, all the contributors will have the right to present the final document in conferences and workshops as their own work too. Relevant certifications will be given upon requests.
